Costa barely training – Mourinho

first_img Press Association Mourinho celebrated his 250th match in charge of the Blues with goals from Oscar and Willian either side of Costa’s eighth goal in his first six Premier League games, a tally second only to Micky Quinn’s 10 with Coventry 22 years ago. That is despite the £32million summer signing from Atletico Madrid having a hamstring injury which limits his involvement in training to “almost nothing”. Mourinho said: “I don’t care about Diego’s goals. For me it’s important that the team score enough goals to win. “I know a striker scoring goals is always nice for him and for his confidence, especially for a player like him who is not training as he should, because we are protecting him in certain situations. “He cannot be on top of his game, but even so scoring a goal is good for his confidence. “He’s doing almost nothing (in training). He’s just resting and recovering from the tight muscle he has. Every time he accumulates fatigue.” Mourinho believes Costa will only be fully fit if he is given leave from the Spain squad for next month’s matches with Slovakia and Luxembourg and fears a hamstring tear if his call is ignored. “If he doesn’t go to the national team and if he stays here 15 days just on treatment, he has the perfect chance to be top for Chelsea and top for the national team,” Mourinho added. “If he doesn’t have this period, will be always, plays one game, the other is in trouble, the muscle is tight, the muscle is danger to rupture.” Mourinho has no plans to speak to Spain boss Vicente del Bosque about the striker, who he hopes to select to play Sporting Lisbon in Champions League Group G on Tuesday night. The Portuguese added: “I want to. Let’s see what happens.” Costa has clearly made a big difference to Chelsea. Mourinho, comparing his side to this time last season, said. “We are a different team. We went in another direction. “It’s a different type of striker we have. He can move, he can come out, he can go to the sides, he can hold the ball. We are a different profile of team.” Mourinho is not aware of Quinn’s prowess – “Niall Quinn. He’s my generation,” the Blues boss said – with Costa top of the Premier League goalscoring charts and his team top of the standings. Mourinho, chasing his third Premier League title and Chelsea’s first since 2010, is refusing to get ahead of himself and believes his side’s rivals will not be too concerned by the Blues’ position at the summit. He said: “We go match after match. The next one for the Premier League is Arsenal (next Sunday). “We have a lead of three points over Southampton, which is a guarantee that next weekend we will still be top of the league. “Is this very important? It’s not crucial because it’s too early, but it’s a little bit of a space that gives you that good feeling that you’re top of the league. It’s good to be there. “Everybody knows the everybody is going to lose points. I don’t think any team is scared or convinced that Chelsea’s going to keep this run for 10, 15, 20 matches, always getting positive results. “We know this is the Premier League. Every game is really possible for a top team to lose points.” Chelsea never looked like losing against Villa after Oscar’s opener. Mourinho added: “We kept control of the game all the time. Even when the result was 1-0. “The second and the third goals obviously killed everything. Overall it was a very good performance.” Villa boss Paul Lambert was content despite a second straight 3-0 loss after the defeat to Arsenal. “We were well in that game,” Lambert said. “I couldn’t fault my own team. We gave it a right good go. “When you come to places like this, when you get a chance, you’ve got to score. “With Nathan’s (Baker) header, Fabian’s (Delph) couple of shots, (Aly) Cissokho at the back post, you’ve got to score. “If you get beat, you’ve got to leave here with your confidence intact, which we certainly are. “Performance-wise, other than trying to get a goal, I couldn’t ask for any more. “If somebody said to me you’d take three points from Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, I’d certainly have taken it. “We’re up against Man City next week. first_imgGardai searching for a missing yacht skipper have found his car keys and his car but there is still no sign of him.Wood Magic, the yacht at the centre of the mystery moored at Sheephaven Bay, Ard on Sunday. Photo by Moses Alcorn.The emergency services are becoming increasingly alarmed about the man’s welfare after he disappeared almost two weeks ago.His yacht, named Wood Magic, has been anchored just 100 yards off the Co Donegal coast at Sheephaven Bay for at least ten days. A search for the man has found his car at Fahan Pier around the Donegal coastline and the keys of the car were later discovered in the abandoned yacht.Fears for the man have grown since a small dingy attached to the yacht was found turned upside down on Saturday evening.A hatch on the yacht was also opened when boarded by Gardai.There were no signs of a struggle but many of the man’s personal belongings are still onboard. We live in an age where everything is computerised.You name it; you can do it online.The trouble with this is that the majority of our lives are being spent in front of a computer. As men, we sit too much, drink too much coffee, stress too much, don’t sleep enough, have pretty awful diets and don’t exercise enough.Once upon a time, when food was food and there were no computers or video games, people used to go outside.You heard that right kids, OUTSIDE.You know that place where you go to get into the car, so you can drive to the gym and walk on a treadmill, or spin on a bike. What is the result of the last few years of prosperity and technology?We have a generation of men who are skinny fat!This new body type is probably the most unhealthy that we as men are facing.Skinny fat looks like this:

The extremities (arms and legs) are completely normal looking. In some cases they are actually thin, whereas the trunk of the body is carrying quite a bit of excess body-fat.When you are wearing jeans and a t-shirt you will look relatively normal. It won’t look as if there is a problem. However, when you remove the t-shirt it will look as if you are wearing your grandfather’s skin for a shirt.You will have “moobs”, belly fat and probably a muffin top.To put it bluntly, you are beginning to look like a woman!This is not an insult to women. It is natural for women to carry fat on certain parts of their bodies. Men simply should not be holding fat in the same areas. This might seem a bit extreme, but when you look at the health and hormonal issues that are being studied regarding this issue, this is no laughing matter.A recent study in Journal of the American Medical Association found that;If you are skinny fat and get diagnosed with diabetes, you are twice as likely to die as if you are overweight and get diagnosed. 

You simply do not have the muscle mass that an overweight person has to protect you.Testosterone levels in skinny fat men were also found to be extremely low, with oestrogen levels being overly high.A simple test: when you wake up in the morning, are you flaccid?If you are in your twenties and you consistently wake up like this, something is not right.Stress levels are also extremely important in the issue of skinny fat.Most people these days have stressful jobs, stressful commutes to work, and stressful lives outside of work.They survive on coffee and energy drinks, are always on their phone or computers, never get into full deep sleep, which leaves nearly every situation they face feeling stressful.This leaves cortisol levels high which in turn, will hamper the body’s ability to build muscle and to burn fat.So let’s round this up;If you recognize yourself in this description, you probably have moobs, belly fat and a muffin top, the testosterone levels of a 16 year old girl and the stress levels of a mortgage broker when the 2008 crash happened.So what do we do?How do we fix this problem and get men back to being MEN?The first step is cleaning up your nutrition.Stop eating pre-packaged and processed foods and reduce your consumption of refined carbs.Reduce your consumption of carbonated drinks and alcohol.Eat protein at every meal.Increase your intake of healthy fats.Take a multi vitamin, quality fish oil and a vitamin D supplement.Doesn’t sound fun? Enjoy having Moobs!Start lifting weights, aim for reps of between 6-10 reps and 3-6 sets per exercise.Concentrate on the larger muscle groups and hit the big lifts like the squat, chin ups/lat pull down, deadlifts, bench press and overhead press.STOP DOING CARDIO, you do not need it.Trying to burn fat with excess cardio without building muscle will only leave you a skinnier fatter version of what you previously were.Reduce you time online, especially before bed.Preferably, there should be no screen time for 2-3 hours before bed.What could you do instead?Here’s a few ideas: GO OUTSIDE, GO TO THE GYM OR READ A BOOK.Sooner or later you will have to face up to the fact that, if you are skinny fat, you are on the road to severe health issues in the near future.How you deal with this is your choice, try and make it a good one.#TrainSmarthttps://www.facebook.com/pages/Rushe-Fitness/120518884715118?ref=hl
